What got you into performing and doing magic?
As a child, my friends dreamed of being a fireman, a lawyer or building a spaceship to fly to the moon.
My dream was a bit different: I wanted to be a magician/escape artist like the great Harry Houdini.
I can recall going to my school library and reading every book available on Houdini and magic. The
librarian was amazed at how fast I read the books, and she would order additional magic books just for
me.
Even when I was a child, I performed magic shows for my school and family. My mother and my Aunt "T.
T." would give me books and magic kits for special occasions. My father would help me learn the stunts
and build me new props. I would say I wanted to grow up to be "like the great Harry Houdini."
What’s your favorite illusion?
OHHH, this is a trick question. I enjoy a variety of effects for several factors. I love the coin matrix I
perform, because the magic happens in the spectator’s hand. I enjoy the underwater escapes I attempt
since it faces my fear of drowning and it captivates my audiences’ fears and emotions as well.

So is Cher going to be part of the world record attempt?
I hope so. Also, if other people like Ellen Degeneres, Jewel, Madonna, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tony Curtis and
it would be cool for Will Smith to participate. It would be a dream come true. Well.... dreams tend to
manifest into reality with me.
What’s been the highlight of your career so far?
Hmmm.... How many people can say they have cut Paris Hilton in Half? Well I can! I cut her in half on
the television show "The Simple Life." I have appeared on Spike TV’s Manswers. I have publicly
challenged David Blaine and noted psychic John Edward to magic duels. I have also appeared on the USA
network Road Characters, and on Halloween 2008 I was buried alive and escaped in 16 minutes. Those
are my favorite moments in my career so far.
Have you ever been close to death while doing a stunt?
Yes, in Singapore when I was chained to two steel plates and dropped in the river 18 times in a course
of 10 days. One evening the top plate came down a bit faster than planned and hit me in the forehead.
It caused me to bleed and making the time to escape much longer than planned.
Who’s inspired your magic?
Not only other magicians inspire me, but other artist such as singers, dancers and variety acts gets my
creative juices flowing.
Who would you pay to see perform an illusion?
I do enjoy a variety of other magic entertainers. I would love to see Penn and Taylor live in Vegas.
Do you have any DVDs on the market?
Yes I do. I decided to share the art of magic in my DVD: POOF! You’re a magician

Do you create your own stunts or how is a new stunt created?
Sometimes, I get ideas on what I want to attempt and I would consult a couple of the masters such as
Mark Cannon, Steve Baker or my buddy Cliff for their advice and thoughts on the escape I have in mind.
What else is coming up in 2009 for you besides the world record attempt?
I have a few things I would like to accomplish in 2009. Last Halloween I was buried alive in the City of
Grand Terrace. Not too sure what I will do for this Halloween. Maybe get chained to a SUV and go
through a car wash and try to escape alive. Also, scheduled for 2009 is my Cube of Death, which will
appear on Master of Illusion on MynetworkTv, a weekly series beginning in January 2009.
