I'm a bachelor and here to give you insight to my life and my moves with the ladies.
We're coming up on New Year's Eve, one of the best nights of the year for the single
man. New Year's Eve brings out a lot of girls. Several who go out just a few times a
year and lose their inhibitions on this night. This is great for us single guys. You want
to get your place picked out now so you can get there in time for the festivities that
surround bringing in the new year.
When you first get to your bar or club you want to set-up somewhere you can scope
the crowd out yet easily mix and mingle on the dance floor or bring girls over to talk to
that you've targeted. This is key so get there early as places fill up quickly on NYE.
Once you get set-up start scoping out the crowd. Get your openings ready. Make sure
you coordinate with your wingmen how you'll approach and what happens when you'll
close. This is important to get understood right away so there aren't any problems and
you can work smoothly. You don't want any bumps in the road that can distract the
girl from you.
After you're set-up and got your gameplan, it's time to start scouting talent. Look
around the crowd and see what you're liking and where you might want to pounce.
For me, I always look for the girl with a group of friends but she's looking around
constantly. That signals to me she's disinterested in what her girlfriends are saying and
she wants to get away. Girls I see in that situation, who are smokin' hot, move to the
top of the list. I've then got to survey her girlfriend situation. Do I see any friends
who look like they might be a "C-block" and just how many people does she have
around her. Can I go in with one wingman or do I need a crew?
Once you've got that decided, it's time for the approach. I like to introduce myself and
use humor early. If I can get her to laugh, I know I've got a shot. I ask her a lot of
questions. Most girls, if not all, like to talk about themselves. Ask her where she's
from, what she's planning for 2009, and of course compliment her on something. A
genuine compliment goes a long way. It helps put a girl at ease and puts you in a
positive light. Don't say, damn you're ass looks great in those jeans or wow what
doctor did your boob job. Seriously guys that won't work at all! You're just going to be
a story for her to tell her girlfriends later. If you can give her a sincere compliment on
her eyes, outfit, or whatever is appropriate, go for it.
The best part about NYE is you've got a good reason to go in for the kiss. Who doesn't
want a kiss on NYE? It can help make or break a night. You've got to just pull her in at
midnight and go slow. You don't want to attack and try jamming your tongue down her
throat right away. Start with a slow peck and see how she responds. If she doesn't
smack you or push you away, maybe you can take it a little further there in the club.
After you've made it through midnight on NYE, it's up to you to see how far you want
to push it that night. You should about a half hour until closing time, get a good idea
of what the girl is thinking and feeling. So be perceptive. Don't force anything or try
to rush her. You want to make her comfortable! So if the night ends with an exchange
of numbers or a breakfast, get 2009 of to a great start with a new lady. NYE is our
night, the night of the bachelor!
